CM Maryam Nawaz asks PRA to increase revenue generation

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday directed the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) to increase the means of its revenue generation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
She was chairing a special meeting in Lahore convened to discuss the matters related to the PRA.
Nauman Yousaf, the Authority’s new chairman, gave the meeting a briefing.
A suggestion was given at the meeting to increase the revenue generation target by Rs50 billion without affecting the common man.
It was decided that the PRA would be linked to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for the real-time integration of the database.
A decision was also taken to expand the PRA’s network to 12 more districts of the province and set up its offices at Murree, Attock, Jhelum, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Mandi Bahauddin, Muzzafargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalpur, Okara and Khanewal.
Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman Akhtar, Secretary Finance Mujahid Sher Dil and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, the Punjab Chief Minister directed the Punjab Revenue Authority to increase revenue resources.
