Man kills his ex-wife in Wazirabad

Police in Wazirabad on Sunday arrested a man who killed his ex-wife by strangling her throat in a suburban village of Wazirabad, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

The tragic incident took place in village Mirajke Chatha.

Sources said that four days ago, Erum Bibi contracted marriage with Haider Ali in court. 

Earlier, Erum was married to her cousin Abu Bakr and was a mother of a two-and-a-half-year-old son.

The woman was the sole owner of a 20-acre agricultural land, which she inherited from her parents.

The first husband did not have the heart to see land worth crores of rupees sliding from his hands.

It is pertinent to mention here that the woman and her husband had already recorded a statement under section 164 in court in which they said that they felt threatened by Abu Bakr.
