Muniba Ali powers Pakistan Women to 8-wicket win over Ireland

Muniba Ali's blistering unbeaten ton powered the Pakistan Women’s cricket team to defeat Ireland Women by eight wickets in the third and final T20I at Dublin, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.  

Muniba remained unbeaten on 100 off 68 balls, laced with 14 boundaries and a six.

This was her second century in T20 Internationals, and she anchored the chase with elegance and authority.

Batting first after winning the toss, Ireland Women posted 155 for 4 in their 20 overs.

Captain Gaby Lewis (36) and Amy Hunter (29) added 52 runs for the opening wicket before Pakistan’s bowlers made inroads.

Orla Prendergast was the standout performer, smashing an unbeaten 64 off 48 balls with eight fours, registering her ninth T20I half-century and second of the series.

For Pakistan, Ramin Shamim, Waheeda Akhtar, Sadia Iqbal, and Fatima Sana took one wicket each.

Chasing 156, Pakistan got off to a flying start, with Muniba Ali striking three boundaries off the first three deliveries she faced.

Despite losing Shawaal Zulfiqar (3) and Natalia Pervaiz (9) early, Muniba found a good partner in Aliya Riaz.

The pair put on an unbeaten 101-run stand for the third wicket, steering Pakistan home with 14 balls to spare.

Aliya remained unbeaten on 39 off 33 balls, hitting five fours.

Although Pakistan won the final match, Ireland secured the three-match series 2-1, having won the first game by 11 runs and the second by four wickets.
