Girl dies after alleged gang rape in Mandi Bahauddin

A girl died in hospital after allegedly being gang-raped by five men in the jurisdiction of Miana Gondal police station, police said.

According to the FIR, the girl was alone at home when five accused allegedly took her to a camp and sexually assaulted her.

Police said the victim later consumed poison and was shifted to the hospital, where she died during treatment.

A case has been registered against the five accused on the complaint of the girl’s father.

Police said an investigation was under way and the facts surrounding the incident would be established after completion of the probe.
