Police probe Mir Raza’s death, guesthouse links under scrutiny
Police are investigating the death of young Mir Raza from multiple angles, including possible links to a guesthouse referred to by his parents, sources said.
24NewsHD TV obtained details about the guesthouse, which sources said was operating from a bungalow rented around 10 months ago.
According to sources, the rental agreement was signed between the bungalow owner and a tenant identified as Nazar, after which the property began operating under the name Star One Guesthouse.
Sources said Nazar allegedly provided incorrect tenancy details to the police station, where the rent deed was submitted in the name of Liaquat Ali.
Police records consequently listed Liaquat Ali as the tenant, although sources said he was actually an employee of the guesthouse.
Nazar allegedly fled when Mir Raza’s father reached the guesthouse, sources said.
The guesthouse was also not registered on the police’s Hotel Eye application, according to sources.
Police have taken guesthouse employee Liaquat Ali into custody along with Ali Sher, Nazim, Masroor, Saifullah and Javed as part of the investigation.
Investigators have also seized the digital video recorder of CCTV cameras installed at the guesthouse.
Sources said the available CCTV footage showed that Mir Raza did not enter the guesthouse.
Police are continuing investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding his death and the possible relevance of the guesthouse to the case.
