Turkish actress Esra Bilgic is the ninth-most searched personality in Pakistan in 2020, revealed the latest Google Search Trends 2020 Pakistan released this week.

Bilgic rose to fame with the broadcast of Dirilis Ertugrul in Pakistan. She even managed to get lucrative brand endorsement deals from leading Pakistani brands. With her appearance in several TV commercials, Bilgic became a household name in Pakistan.

The Turkish actress witnessed a humongous increase in her social media following after the broadcast of the series in Pakistan.

Recently in her interview with a Pakistani publication, Esra Bilgic said she was enthralled when she heard Prime Minister Imran Khan praising the serial on Turkish TV channels.

Esra said: “When I saw the Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan on Turkish news channels, saying that a successful project such as Ertugrul should be aired on their local channel.”

“I felt surprised and proud at the same time. If we didn’t have a pandemic upon us, I would have visited Pakistan several times by now,” she added.
