Maryam Nawaz meets National People's Congress Standing Committee vice chairman
A delegation of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met Li Hongzhong, vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, in Beijing on Tuesday.
Li, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said that bilateral relations have achieved a high-level development under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries.
Li said that China is ready to work with Pakistan to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen exchange between political parties and localities, and accelerate the construction of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
Maryam congratulated China on its continuous progress toward the goals of modernization and national rejuvenation, and said that she will remain committed to deepening Pakistan-China relations.
Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Provincial Minister for Information Azma Bukhari, Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Khan, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ashiq Hussain Kirmani, Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and other officials were also present at the meeting.
