US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker has announced that with a new commitment of $1.25 billion financing from EXIM Bank, the US-Pakistan partnership will drive economic growth in Balochistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a video message uploaded on US Embassy’s X social platform account on Wednesday, Natalie Baker maintained this financing will be a game-changer for US businesses and local Pakistani communities.

The US envoy said “I am pleased to highlight the US Export-Import Bank has recently approved financing of $1.25 billion to support the mining of critical mineral at Reko Diq in Pakistan.”

She further said “In the coming years, EXIM’s project financing will bring in up to $2 billion in high-quality US mining equipment and services needed to build and operate the Reko Diq mine along with creating estimated 6,000 job in US and 7,500 jobs in Balochistan, Pakistan.”

The US envoy remarked “The Reko Diq project serves as the model for mining projects that will benefit US exporters as well as local Pakistani communities and partners by bringing employment and prosperity to both our nations.”

“The Trump administration has made the forging of deal exactly like this one central to American diplomacy,” Natalie Baker said and added “We look forward to seeing further agreements between US companies and their Pakistani counterparts in in the critical mineral and mining sector.”
