Another injured boy dies, Tarlai mosque attack toll reaches 36

Another injured of the deadly suicide bombing at Tarlai mosque breathed his last at a hospital on Tuesday, taking the death toll to 36 dead, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

13 years old Gohar Ali was under treatment at poly clinic hospital and succumbed to his wounds today.

Health officials said 38 injured are still under treatment at the PIMS hospital and the condition of several was still critical.

Gohar Ali was transferred to a ventilator yesterday due to his deteriorating condition, but he could not survive. On the other hand, according to officials at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), two more people injured in the blast have been discharged after treatment, bringing the number of injured people being treated at PIMS to 38.

According to the PIMS administration, the condition of more than 20 of the injured under treatment remains critical, while 7 injured are admitted to the surgical ICU where they are being provided intensive care. According to hospital sources, a total of 149 injured were transferred to PIMS after the explosion, many of whom have been sent home after receiving first aid and treatment.

Tarlia mosque attack, which was claimed by the Islamic State group, was the deadliest in Islamabad since the 2008 Marriott hotel bombing.

City officials said 34 people were killed and another 169 were wounded in the explosion at the Imambargah Qasr-e-Khadijatul Kubra mosque on the city's outskirts.
