David Beckham sells his $19.8m Miami penthouse

David Beckham has quietly offloaded his ultra-luxury Miami penthouse for a substantial profit, closing the chapter on a high-flying property deal six years after snapping up the glamorous home.

The football icon, now 50, originally purchased the penthouse in 2020 for $19.8 million through his London-based company, Beckham Brand Limited. The sale price has now reportedly reached $24.6 million, handing Beckham a clean $4.8 million gain on the investment.

The timing of the sale has raised eyebrows, coming just weeks after his eldest son Brooklyn, who lives in the US, dramatically cut ties with the Beckham family. In a blistering six-page statement released last month, Brooklyn said he had no desire to ever reconcile with his parents and accused them of being "controlling and manipulative".

The penthouse sat high above Miami on the 59th floor of the striking One Thousand Museum tower. The futuristic skyscraper rises 62 storeys and stretches 215 metres into the skyline, making it one of the tallest residential buildings in the city.

Inside, the sprawling home featured five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wide balcony offering sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. The building is also home to Miami’s first private helipad.

Every residence within One Thousand Museum is fitted with Italian-designed kitchens by Gatto Cucine, complete with quartz countertops, and indulgent spa-style bathrooms. During their time there, David and Victoria Beckham had access to a two-level gym and spa, an infinity-edge swimming pool, and an on-site hair and beauty complex.

The tower itself contains 82 private residences, along with a Sky Lounge for residents, an Aquatic Center, a private cinema, round-the-clock security, and concierge-level amenities.

The dramatic building was designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, who died in Miami in 2016 at the age of 65. At the time of her death, the tower had only been constructed up to its eighth floor.

Among its more unusual features are custom-designed scenting throughout the shared spaces, fresh flower deliveries, and dedicated event-planning services.

For years, the penthouse served as a central base for the Beckham family after David launched Inter Miami in 2018. David and Victoria’s four children frequently stayed there while the family spent extended periods in Florida.

Despite selling the penthouse, the Beckhams still hold onto an even more extravagant Miami property. They own a $72.25 million mansion in Miami Beach, overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The sprawling estate, built in 2018, includes numerous bedrooms, four half-bathrooms, and a chef’s kitchen. It also boasts a private cinema, gym, spa, and swimming pool. Outside, there is an outdoor kitchen, a rooftop lounge, and 124 feet of private frontage along Biscayne Bay.

The couple are believed to have purchased the nine-bedroom mansion in 2024 after feeling increasingly settled in Miami.

A source told the Mail in October 2024 that the entire Beckham family had toured the house and that "everyone loves it".

The property also placed the family closer to Brooklyn, who had moved to the US with his wife Nicola Peltz. Nicola’s family owns a vast oceanfront estate in Palm Beach, where the couple married.
