DPC meeting on Feb 14 to review OMG officers' promotions

Progress has been made on the long-pending matter of promotions of Office Management Group (OMG) officers from Grade 17 to Grade 18 under the federal government.

According to the Establishment Division, a meeting of the Departmental Promotions Committee (DPC) to consider the promotions of OMG officers has been scheduled for February 14. The issue had earlier been deferred despite being taken up in a meeting held on January 13 this year for the promotions of officers belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and Police Service of Pakistan (PSP).

At that time, while promotions for PAS and PSP officers were discussed, the agenda concerning OMG officers was postponed. The matter has now been re-included in the agenda for consideration.

The upcoming meeting will be held at the Establishment Division office located in the Cabinet Block and will be chaired by the secretary to te Establishment Division. The joint secretary (E), CP-1, CP-2, and deputy secretary CP-1 are also expected to attend the meeting.
