SHO shot injured by constable succumbs to bullet injury

Satghara Police Station SHO Muhammad Tariq, who was shot injured by a constable, died on Tuesday after remaining under treatment days at the Teaching Hospital Sahiwal for two days.

According to Okara police, the incident occurred two days ago in the precincts of Satghara Police Station when Constable Abdullah opened fire on SHO Muhammad Tariq while he was on patrol duty. The bullet struck the SHO in the stomach.

Muhammad Tariq was immediately shifted to the Teaching Hospital Sahiwal, where doctors removed the bullet through surgery. However, despite medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police said Constable Abdullah fled the scene after the incident but was later arrested.

The martyred SHO Muhammad Tariq belonged to Basirpur.
