PML-N’s Malik Shafi elected MPA unopposed from PP-167

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) candidate Malik Muhammad Shafi has been elected unopposed as Member of Punjab Assembly from PP-167, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The Election Commission has issued a notification in this regard.
All candidates in the race against Malik Muhammad Shafi withdrew their nomination papers.
The seat of PP-167 was fell vacant after the death of the member of assembly Irfan Shafi Khokhar.
With this development, PML-N has retained the PP-167 Lahore seat, maintaining its political presence in the constituency.
