SC penalizes its Karachi, Lahore registries officials for showing negligence

Heavy penalties were imposed on Saturday on the Supreme Court (SC) Karachi Branch registry’s three and Lahore Branch Registry’s one official under the Supreme Court Establishment Service Rules, 2015 for showing administrative negligence of a serious nature, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the declaration issued by the apex court, Karachi Registry officials were punished for delay in reporting, not taking timely instructions and delaying the restoration of the court record.

The declaration read that the Lahore Registry officer was punished in connection with the matter reported on anti-corruption hotline.

The SC, in the declaration, renewed its commitment to enforce discipline and hold its guilty officers accountable.
