Dr Ejaz questions Hania Aamir's YSL fashion choice
Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has sparked fresh discussion on social media after her appearance at a recent YSL event in Lahore. Her fashion choice quickly became a talking point online, prompting media critic Dr. Ejaz Waris to share his views. Criticizing the outfit, he said public figures should be more mindful of the image they project while representing Pakistan.
Speaking in a recent video, Dr. Ejaz Waris welcomed Hania Aamir back to Pakistan before turning his attention to her appearance at the YSL event in Lahore. He questioned her choice of outfit, saying that although it appeared to be a complete YSL look, she could have selected a design that better suited the occasion while reflecting Pakistani cultural values.
Dr. Ejaz Waris also claimed that Hania Aamir appeared uncomfortable throughout the event, saying her body language suggested she was not fully at ease with the outfit. He specifically pointed to her semi-transparent black stockings, arguing that they did not suit the setting of a public event attended by a large audience in Pakistan.
He explained that fashion is a personal choice and that everyone has the freedom to wear what they like. However, he argued that internationally recognized celebrities have a greater responsibility because they represent Pakistan wherever they appear. In his view, public figures should choose outfits that are both stylish and appropriate for the country's culture, social norms, and the nature of the event.
Referring to his earlier comments on celebrity fashion, Dr. Ejaz Waris said his opinion has always remained consistent. He maintained that his intention was not to restrict anyone's personal freedom but to encourage celebrities to consider the cultural values and traditions associated with Pakistan when making public appearances.
He also remarked that Hania Aamir's shoes appeared slightly oversized and suggested that greater attention should be paid to styling details during high-profile events. According to him, the overall look did not reflect what he expected from a luxury YSL event.
Concluding his remarks, Dr. Ejaz Waris invited viewers to share their opinions, asking whether they agreed with his criticism or believed Hania Aamir's fashion choices should remain entirely her personal decision.
During the same video, Dr. Ejaz Waris also said that Hania Aamir had returned to Pakistan and claimed that she is expected to resume filming for her upcoming drama serial Fanaa following her international engagements.
