Met office forecast rain in most parts of country during July 11-13
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rain and thunderstorms in various parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, rain is expected in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan between July 11 and 13.
The Potohar region, Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, Pindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Hafizabad are likely to receive rainfall. The PMD said Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab and Bhakkar are likely to experience rain, while Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Kasur, Okara, Sahiwal and Pakpattan could receive heavy showers. Rain is also expected in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan.
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat and Hangu, as well as the upper districts of Swat, Upper and Lower Dir, Chitral, Shangla, Buner, Battagram, Mansehra and Abbottabad are also expected to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
The Met Office has also forecast intermittent rainfall in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from July 11 to 13, including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, Bagh, Haveli, Poonch, Kotli, Mirpur and Bhimber, and Gilgit, Skardu, Astore, Diamer, Ghizer, Ghanche, Shigar, Nagar and Hunza.
In Balochistan, rain and thunderstorms are expected in the northeastern districts, including Zhob, Sherani, Musakhel, Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu and Ziarat. Meanwhile, upper and central Sindh are likely to receive rain on July 12 and 13, with showers forecast in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze.
