Five people were burnt when a fire broke out in an oil tanker parked in a plastic factory near Mafiwala Mor in Gujranwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Rescue personnel promptly launched a hectic fire-fighting operation and brought the fire under control. Six rescue vehicles participated in the operation.

According to rescue officials, five people got severe burn wounds in the incident.

The injured included: Akram, Zail Shah, Shaukat, Sajjad and Shakir.

Due to non-availability of a Burn Centre in the area, the wounded were referred to Lahore.
