Natalie Baker calls on Chief Minister Maryam

US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker and US Consul General in Lahore Kristin K Hawkins called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore. 

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif appreciated Natalie Baker’s dynamic and positive role as Chargé d’Affaires in Pakistan. 

During the meeting, the detailed discussions were held on further strengthening the long-standing Pak-US relations and enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Maryam Nawaz appreciated the constructive role of the US in the recent Pakistan-India tension and its cooperation in the ceasefire. She said the active role of the US is very important for lasting peace in South Asia. 

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif thanked Natalie Baker for supporting Lahore Qalandars in the PSL. She said Pakistan-US relations are a valued partnership based on shared values and strategic interests. 

Chief Minister expressed solidarity with the people of California as a sister state. She said Punjab government was looking to further deepen relations between Punjab and California. 

Maryam Nawaz said Pakistan was emerging as a strategic partner for the United States in sectors including textiles. CM Maryam said Punjab is the largest and most economically active province in the country and welcomes American investment and cooperation. 

Maryam Nawaz said Pakistani-American community is a strong bridge between the two countries.
