The federal government is expected to slash taxes on the property and real estate sector, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Sources said that the federal government may announce to start registration of developers and builders and grant concessions to overseas Pakistanis in the construction sector.
The government is reviewing a proposal to waive federal excise duty (FED) on property of overseas Pakistanis with effect from July 1, 2025.
The federal government is likely to announce some changes in federal excise duty for late and non-filers on purchase of property, while a proposal is also on the card for changes in withholding tax (WHT) on property transactions in the Federal Budget 2025-26.
