Pakistan Army’s chopper crashes near Muzaffarabad

Pakistan Army’s MI-17 helicopter crashed during take-off near Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday, resulting in the martyrdom of all jawans travelling in it, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the ISPR, as per initial information, the incident took place due to a technical fault. “However, there were no survivors,” the statement added.
Soon after the crash, rescue teams rushed to the site, while the Pakistan Army constituted a Board of Inquiry to ascertain the reasons of the tragedy.
Expressing deep grief and shock over the incident, Field Marshal Asim Munir expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families.
He said that the nation would never forget the sacrifices given by its martyrs.
