JKT group to boycott PTI meeting to be chaired by PM
Members of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group have announced boycotting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab parliamentary party meeting called by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore on Thursday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Official sources have revealed that the prime minister is set to visit Lahore today where he will chair the PTI Punjab’s parliamentary party meeting.
However, the JKT group has announced that none of its members will become part of any of the party’s parliamentary party meeting as long as Usman Buzdar holds the office of the Chief Minister.
The JKT group, after a meeting of its members, announced that Usman Buzdar was not acceptable in any case.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has also called Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar and asked him to come to CM House in Lahore for a meeting.
Governor Sarwar will brief the prime minister on political issues and government affairs. He is also expected to confer on JKT’s reservations.
