Police in Karachi on Friday arrested four workers of a travel agency involved in swindling people out of money in the name of Hajj and Umrah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to police, the accused had been arrested from the office of the travel agency at Soldier Bazaar No 3. The name of the agency was Karwan-e-Islami.

“The action was taken against the owner of the travel agency and his employees on several complaints from the citizens,” police said.

“The four workers of the travel agency were arrested after thorough investigation. Five cases had been registered against the accused at Soldier Bazaar police station on citizens’ complaints,” police added.

“The owner of the travel agency is yet to be held. Raids are being conducted for his arrest. The accused in custody have been sent to jail after physical remand,” they stated.
