Dr. Yasmin Rashid slams Punjab government in letter from Jail 

Jailed PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid has penned a scathing letter from prison, criticising the Punjab government over its handling of governance, inflation, and public welfare.

In her letter, Dr. Rashid condemned the behaviour of the Punjab Chief Minister’s medical officer towards teachers, expressing disappointment that fellow educators remained silent while their colleague was publicly humiliated.

She also highlighted the dire state of healthcare in Punjab, stating that medicines are unavailable in hospitals, while the government is spending resources on self-promotion through extensive advertisements.

Criticizing infrastructure projects, Dr. Rashid mocked the motorcycle lane initiative, noting that its paint washed away after the first rain, turning it into more of a hindrance than a facility. She further alleged that ongoing development projects are marred by corruption.

Addressing the economic crisis, the PTI leader lamented that Pakistan, especially Punjab, is suffering from record-breaking inflation, with 40% of the population living below the poverty line. She also warned that food security has become a major challenge, exacerbating the struggles of the people.
