FinMin Aurangzeb, Punjab Governor Saleem discuss economic growth
Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb met Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on Monday to discuss economic growth, challenges and development opportunities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, the Punjab governor praised the finance minister and his team for their efforts in stabilizing the economy. He said that despite significant economic challenges last year Pakistan’s economy showed a remarkable improvement.
Senator Aurangzeb acknowledged the role of political leadership, particularly Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose vision and guidance played a vital role in ensuring economic stability and sustainable growth. He expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari for his support in addressing economic and federal matters.
The finance minister commended Punjab governor’s active engagement with the business community and local chambers of commerce. He emphasized that a strong economic foundation has been laid, with the private sector, especially the business community, playing a key role in driving long-term and stable economic growth.
Additionally, Aurangzeb underscored the immense potential in the agricultural sector, stressing the need to prioritize its development to fully harness its capabilities for national economic progress.
