Punjab School Education Department sees major reshuffle
The Punjab School Education Department on Tuesday notified large-scale transfers and postings of senior officials across the province.
According to a notification issued by School Education Secretary Mudassar Riaz, several Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and District Education Officers (DEOs) have been reassigned to new positions.
Under the new orders, Lahore Education CEO Nazir Hussain has been transferred and posted DEO Mianwali. Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Education CEO Tariq Mahmood has been appointed the new CEO Education Lahore.
Wazirabad Education CEO Muhammad Yasin Khan has been transferred to Rawalpindi. In his place, Asif Masood has been posted CEO Education, Wazirabad.
Similarly, Rishad Nazar Abbas has been appointed CEO Education, Rajanpur.
The services of Jhang Education CEO Aqila Intikhab Khan have been withdrawn, while Tanveer Ahmed has been posted the new CEO Education Jhang.
In another development, DEO Mianwali Malik Tariq Abbas has been removed from his post with immediate effect.
Officials said the transfers are part of an administrative reshuffle aimed at improving governance and efficiency in the education sector across Punjab.
