Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday confirmed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other leaders will leave for London on a private visit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, Marriyum Aurangzeb said PML-N's delegation will head to London to meet the party's supremo and former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said it is common for political parties to consult, adding that the government's plan is to provide relief to the masses.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the cabinet meeting approved the revocation of more than one foreign passport, adding the deadline for revocation of foreign passports set December 31, 2022.
The federal Cabinet approved the resignation of WAPDA Chairman Muzammil Hussain.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the cabinet approved the import of three million tonnes of wheat.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the Federal Cabinet decided to keep flour and sugar prices unchanged.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said PM Shehbaz Sharif had instructed to give a 20 kg bag of flour at Rs800, instead of Rs950, adding the PM had directed to sell sugar at Rs70 per kg, rather than Rs85.
The Federal Information Minister said the Prime Minister had announced a relief package for the people during the month of Ramazan.
Marriyum Aurangzeb announced the appointment of Muhammad Masood as Director of Ordinance Factory Board, adding that Retired Admiral Salman Ilyas has been appointed the managing director of Shipyard Engineering Works.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) have also been approved.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said Fawad Asadullah Khan has been appointed as Director General Intelligence Bureau.
