Anwar Maqsood expresses solidarity with nation amidst ongoing tension
Acclaimed Pakistani writer and intellectual Anwar Maqsood has expressed support and strength with the nation amid the escalating situation between Pakistan and India, saying: “ Today 250 million Pakistanis have become soldiers.”
Anwar Maqsood lately appeared in a press conference at Karachi Arts Council, where he offered his wise views over the ongoing war between the countries.
Sharing his thoughts, the writer said: “Initiating a war is easy; anything small can start a war. But ending it is difficult.”
Attributing to the Pakistan Army in the conversation, Maqsood said that: “Difficult situation makes us realize how important the army is.”
Anwar Maqsood said that he does not possess a weapon, but his pen is definitely his most powerful tool, which he will use in the service of his country.
The senior writer motivated both governments to refrain from the war and resolve their issues with diplomacy.
Anwar Maqsood dismissed any celebration over Indian aircraft being downed, instead mourning the loss of innocent lives in his country.
“Just as an Indian loves and respects their flag, I too deeply respect my Pakistani flag,” he added.
Maqsood wrapped up his discussion by calling on the nation to support its military and government, emphasizing that togetherness and discipline are essential for progress.
“The world has transformed,” he pointed out, “and no nation should pursue conflict. We need to progress collectively for the betterment of our country.”
