Pakistan will retaliate if India again resorts to aggression, says FM Dar

Calling Pakistan’s retaliation against India justified, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that Pakistan had to give a befitting response to India after it lost its patience following the latter’s repeated acts of aggression, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Talking to the 24News TV channel, Dar said that the entire world was witness to Indian bellicosity.

He said that during his meeting with the Saudi foreign minister, the Indian FM had told him that his country did not want hostilities between India and Pakistan to escalate. 

The deputy PM informed that he had told the Saudi FM that if India carried out another attack, Pakistan would not hesitate to launch a counterattack. “Similarly, we have also told US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that Pakistan will not sit idle in the event of Indian aggression.” 

The foreign minister said that Pakistan downed 80 Indian drones last night. 

Dar apprises Saudi FM of prevailing situation
 
Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM) Ishaq Dar on Saturday spoke with the Foreign Minister of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Faisal Bin Farhan and apprised him on the current situation in the region following last night Indian attacks and Pakistan’s subsequent response.

The Saudi FM expressed condolences over the loss of innocent lives and appreciated Pakistan’s measured and restrained response. Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact, a DPM’s Office news release said.

Dar briefs Turkiye FM

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday spoke with the Foreign Minister of Türkiye, Hakan Fidan and apprised him of the current situation in the region following last night’s Indian aggression and Pakistan’s subsequent response.

The Turkish FM lauded Pakistan’s measured and restrained response, where both leaders agreed to maintain close contact, a DPM’s Office news release said.
