Over 56,000 Pakistani pilgrims arrive in Saudi Arabia for Hajj
The arrival of Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia for Hajj continued as another 4,077 pilgrims reached the kingdom, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Sunday.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the total number of Pakistani pilgrims in Saudi Arabia has risen to 56,272.
Officials said around 80% of the pilgrims are currently staying in Mecca, while the remaining 20% are in Medina.
The spokesperson added that 1,259 support staff and assistants have been deployed to facilitate pilgrims, while the number of medical personnel has reached 467.
Authorities have also increased the number of buses in Mecca in line with the growing number of pilgrims arriving in the holy city.
