Former finance minister and self-exiled Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ishaq Dar Wednesday unveiled some of the facts of the terror act in Army Public School in 2014.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the tragic incident happened during Mian Nawaz Sharif’s government and Ishaq Dar was a member of his cabinet.

In an interview with 24News HD TV Channel, Ishaq Dar said that the government of that time fulfilled its national responsibility and brought responsible terrorists of APS tragedy to justice.

Ishaq Dar said Prime Minister of that time Mian Nawaz Sharif held a special briefing with the military leadership in Peshawar and boldly condemned the terrorist attack on APS.

He further said that Nawaz Sharif after getting the military briefing in Peshawar consulted with the opposition parties and leadership including sitting Prime Minister Imran Khan and held a joint press conference with them against the said terrorist attack.

The former minister said that after the APS tragedy, Sharif’s government started Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Operation Raddul Fasad to curb terrorism in the country that was reached its logical conclusion.

Nawaz Sharif’s aide said that his government of that time also provided heavy resources to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to fight against terrorism.
