The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered to seal another illegally-constructed seven-storey building located in the Agra Taj Colony of Karachi immediately, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court on Wednesday ordered criminal proceedings against the builders. The provincial apex court expressed its displeasure over the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) performance.
The court remarked how it was possible to illegally construct a building without the help of SBCA officers.
Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput inquired from SBCA whether its officers have any standing to stay on their posts. The judge asked whether SBCA sacked any of its employees while remarking such officers must be removed from offices at the earliest.
The SBCA lawyer said immediate action was not possible in such areas.
Agra Taj Colony is located in Lyari. In recent weeks, the Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered the demolition of Nasla Tower and the under-construction multi-storey building Tejori Heights in Karachi.
