Court extends Imran Khan’s bail in foreign accounts case

Former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Thursday skipped appearance before an Islamabad court for the hearing of a case registered under Foreign Exchange Act, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Special Court Judge Rakhshanda Shaheen heard the case. A petition was filed by Intazar Hussain Advocate in the court for granting exception to Imran Khan from appearance.
“Imran Khan is on bed rest for a week and should be exempted from appearance,” Imran Khan’s lawyer demanded.
Co-accused in the case including Hamid Zaman, Sardar Azhar, Syed Younis and Tariq Shafi also appeared before the court.
A petition for granting exception from appearance was filed by co-accused Faisal Maqbool Sheikh too.
The court extended interim bail to the accused till November 23 next.
