Punjab govt allows markets to remain open in eight districts
The Punjab government has amended the notification of partial lockdown as markets have been allowed to remain open today and tomorrow in eight districts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The Punjab Department of Primary Health Care has issued an amended notification in this regard.
According to the new notification, markets, including shopping malls, will remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
However, restaurants, cinemas and gymnasiums will also remain open today, says notification.
Further, the Department of Primary Health declared the IT center and call centers exempted from the lockdown.
Pharmacy and medical stores were also declared exempt.
Petrol pump, depot, Tandoors, bakery, grocery shop, grocery shop, vegetable shop, chicken shop, courier service, utility support will be exempted from the smart lockdown.
