PPP’s Amir Yasin wins LA-12 Kotli by-elections by 24,335 votes
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Chaudhry Amir Yasin won the seat of LA-12 by getting 24,335 votes in the by-elections on Sunday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ch Shaukat Farid took the second position by receiving 18858 votes.
And, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Raja Riasat succeeded to bag the 17892 votes for the third position.
Due to a clash between candidates’ workers, the election commission has halted a result of one polling station of the constituency.
There was a total of 197 polling stations and 106,428 registered voters in the constituency LA-12. The LA-12 fell vacant after PPP’s Ch Muhammad Yasin, who had won from two constituencies, retained his membership from the other seat.
