National Wushu Championships scheduled in Gujrat and Risalpur this month

The 15th National Women’s Wushu Championship is set to take place from October 17 to 19 in Gujrat, while the 25th  National Men’s Wushu Championship will be held from October 21 to 26 in Risalpur, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

The women’s event will feature competitions in seven weight categories for fighting and seven categories for Taolu (the artistic form of Wushu).

Meanwhile, the men’s championship will include contests in nine fighting weight categories and seven Taolu events.

To select Punjab’s men’s and women’s teams for the national championships, trials are scheduled for October 12 at the Township Wushu Club, Lahore

The upcoming events aim to promote Wushu at the national level, providing a platform for athletes from across the country to demonstrate their skills and secure positions for future international competitions.
