Pakistan’s contingent set to depart for 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain
Pakistan’s athletes are gearing up to participate in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, scheduled to be held in Bahrain later this month, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.
According to the Pakistan Sports Board, the national contingent will begin departing for the event on October 17.
The Pakistan under-16 volleyball team and the under-16 kabaddi team will leave Islamabad for Bahrain on October 17 to represent the country in their respective disciplines. Other Pakistani teams participating in different sports will depart for Bahrain on October 19.
Ahead of the departure, players and officials will attend a detailed briefing session at the Pakistan Sports Board headquarters in Islamabad on October 15, where they will be informed about event logistics, code of conduct, and competition protocols.
The Asian Youth Games provide a vital platform for emerging athletes across Asia to showcase their skills, gain international experience, and strengthen regional sporting ties.
Pakistan’s participation is seen as an important step toward developing young talent for future continental and global competitions.
