Chaudhry Asif, the Director of Motors Lahore, has been transferred and directed to report to the Secretary Excise Office in light of his controversial decision to gift Mufti Qavi an honorary number plate.

Rana Qamarul Hasan Sajjad has been appointed as the New Director of Motors Lahore. The incident occurred when Chaudhry Asif awarded Mufti Qavi with a special VIP number plate as a gesture of goodwill.

Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari had earlier indicated taking strict action over the matter. The Secretary of Excise has also issued the notification regarding the transfer.
