Ishaq Dar, Turkish FM take up regional developments

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of Turkiye Hakan Fidan have reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual interest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

During a telephonic conversation late Wednesday night, the two leaders reaffirmed their shared position on Palestine and support for the joint statement by the eight Arab-Islamic countries on the UK's decision to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements and restrict services linked to such settlements.

They also supported the Joint Statement on the Two-State Solution by the UK and other European countries.

The two sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close consultations on regional matters including through the Regional Four (R4) framework with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

The two leaders agreed to meet on the sidelines of the forthcoming United Nations General Assembly session in New York.
