Maulana Tahir Ashrafi criticises SC judge speech

Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has severely criticised an honourable Supreme Court judge and declared his recent speech as based on “ignorance”, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi flayed the remarks of the apex court judge.

When asked about the moon-sighting issue, he said this year Eidul Fitr will be celebrated on the same day across the country.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said that people should wear masks to curb the transmission of the deadly coronavirus. The Special Representative urged the masses to strictly adhere to the coronavirus-related SOPs during the upcoming holy month of Ramazan.
