What could be termed a big blow for the real estate sector in the country, the sale of cement has dropped by 50 per cent, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Cement dealers, on the other hand, have held the government policies responsible for decline in the sale, saying it has failed to provide a conducive environment for the growth of the industry. 

They have also demanded the government to take immediate steps so that sale of the commodity could be improved.
