Srha Asghar moves police over sexual harassment and assault

A noted actress, Srha Asghar, sought police help over sexual harassment and assault, media reports said.

The Shah Faisal police registered a case on the complaint of Srha’s husband Umar Murtaza, stating: “A sexual predator, identified as Asim, assaulted her when she went to the local market.

Reportedly, the incident took place on August 1. Srha Asghar told the police that the accused started chasing and teasing her when was on her way back home from the market. The accused attempted to touch her, she said adding she rang the doorbell and called her husband.

 A fight between the alleged predator and Umar took place too, according to the statement she gave to the police.

Srha's husband and neighbours held him and handed him over to the police.
