A tragic accident occurred on Motorway M5 near the Basti Dad Interchange in Shujaabad, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to a woman and four children, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday. 

The accident reportedly happened due to the driver falling asleep at the wheel while travelling from Karachi to Kot Addu. 

According to rescue sources, both the deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Saqib Ataullah and 40-year-old Qari Arshad, both residents of Muzaffargarh.

The injured include 35-year-old Uzma, 2-year-old Affan, 5-year-old Noor Fatima, 7-year-old Irshad, 10-year-old Asad, and Danish. 

All the injured have been referred to Nishtar Hospital in Multan for treatment.
