Three children of same family die of measles in Kabirwala

Three young children from the same family died within three days in the Shakrawala Qatalpur area near Kabirwala, reportedly after developing symptoms of measles, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday. 

Following reports of the deaths, health department teams reached the area and launched a screening campaign to check other children for signs of the disease.

According to the Deputy District Health Officer, five more children were found to have symptoms during the screening.

They were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for medical treatment.

Health officials said the affected children were receiving medical care.

However, they clarified that measles had not yet been conclusively confirmed as the cause of the deaths.
