The Awami National Party (ANP) suffered a blow as loyalist Bilour family was cracked by the defection to PTI of a leading member, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Former senator Elias Bilour’s son and nephew of former railway minister Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Ghazanfar Bilour has quit ANP and joined the ruling PTI.
After five decades of affiliation, the defection of a Bilour has the potential to alter the political landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa drastically.
Awami National Party Information Secretary Samar Haroon Bilour said that Ghazanfar Bilour did not have a party post. “Good luck to them,” he added.
