A special meeting of the district management was held here under the chair of Deputy Commissioner and decided to fix an entry ticket to generate the revenue.

As per the decision, those entering from the Roshnai Gate will have to buy a ticket, while those entering the Shahi Qila (Royal Lahore Fort) will have to buy a double ticket.

The Walled City Authority will charge Rs50 per ticket for visitors to both venues.

Earlier, there was no ticket to visit the shrine of national poet Allama Iqbal and Badshahi but now who will enter Badshahi Masjid, Minar Pakistan and Mazar-e-Iqbal through Roshnai Gate will have to buy tickets.

In this way, the entrance to the Lahore Fort will also be possible by taking a ticket twice.
