Dr Madijha Khan rings alarm over 'real estate scam'
Dr Madijha Khan has raised public awareness after allegedly falling victim to a real estate scam involving Ahmad Ali Gujjar.
Sharing her experience on social media, she urged her followers to help raise awareness and prevent others from facing similar fraud.
According to Dr Khan, she and her husband, Ahsan, planned to purchase a 5-marla plot. All dealings were completed through Ahmad Ali Gujjar, who acted as a broker via Zameen.com.
The documents were verified with the DHA office, and after being satisfied with the verification, they made the payment to Gujjar. However, Ahmad Ali Gujjar allegedly fled with the payment.
Dr. Khan revealed that only 29.5% of the payment has been recovered through police efforts, while Gujjar’s family claims the remaining amount is with him in Malaysia.
In her social media posts, Dr Khan expressed concern for her safety, stating that she has received threats from Ahmad Ali Gujjar, his family, and associates. She warned that any harm to her or her family should be investigated in connection with these threats.
Dr Khan clarified that the content shared is for public awareness and educational purposes only. She emphasised that Zameen.com, DHA Head Office, or any other individuals or organisations mentioned are not responsible for the scam and are cited solely to provide context.
She stressed that her posts are not intended to harass, defame, or make personal accusations beyond reporting her experience.
She also revealed that when she requested the return of her funds, she faced further threats from Gujjar and his brothers, Abrar and Ahmed Ali, who are lawyers, demanding Rs4 crore from her.
Dr Khan concluded by urging her followers to circulate her posts widely to help identify the scammers and protect the public from similar incidents.
