Babar Azam calls for greater fan support at National Stadium Karachi
Pakistan cricket icon Babar Azam has called on Karachi cricket fans to turn up in large numbers at the newly revamped Karachi stadium for the upcoming fixtures, including the highly anticipated Champions Trophy 2025.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the newly renovated National Stadium, which was attended by political figures and celebrities, Azam expressed his concerns regarding the lack of spectator turnout in the stadium.
"I have a complaint from the people of Karachi for not turning up at the stadium to watch cricket," he remarked.
The former skipper encouraged fans to show the same enthusiasm as they did during the grand inauguration, stressing the crucial role their support plays in uplifting the team's morale.
"We will look to perform well in tomorrow’s fixture and the Champions Trophy 2025," he vowed, highlighting the team’s commitment to delivering strong performances.
