Gold prices hit record highs in Pakistan amid global surge

 Gold prices in Pakistan Tuesday soared to an all-time high, with 24-karat gold reaching Rs 303,100 per tola following a Rs100 increase, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams climbed by Rs 86, reaching Rs 259,859, while 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs 238,212 per 10 grams. 

In contrast, silver prices recorded a decline in the domestic market. 24-karat silver dropped by Rs 61 per tola, settling at Rs 3,312, while the price per 10 grams fell by Rs52, reaching Rs 2,839.

The surge in gold prices is consistent with international market trends, where the precious metal continues to gain value due to economic uncertainties and a weakening US dollar. 

Experts suggest that gold may remain on an upward trajectory, driven by investor demand and global financial shifts.
