Horse and Cattle Show enthrals crowds with thrilling competitions and international participation

The second day of the National Horse and Cattle Show in Punjab was filled with vibrant performances, breathtaking displays of sportsmanship, and thrilling competitions, captivating a massive crowd at Fortress Stadium.

International athletes showcased their skills in tent-pegging, archery, and equestrian events, with players from 13 countries participating in the grand spectacle. The javelin teams from Kuwait, Norway, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the United States competed in high-energy contests, while archers from Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan demonstrated remarkable precision.

The event saw nine international tent-pegging teams and four international archery teams battling for supremacy, while 54 local teams from across Pakistan displayed their talent. The expert horse riders, dressed in traditional attire, left the audience in awe with their extraordinary control and skill, earning thunderous applause.

Foreign players lauded the impeccable arrangements of the show and expressed their admiration for Punjab’s rich culture and hospitality. One international participant shared, “I am thrilled to witness the energy and culture here. I would love to participate in the next Horse and Cattle Show as well.”

The three-day National Horse and Cattle Show 2025, which began on February 10, marks a historic milestone as 70 international teams have joined for the first time in three decades. The event’s theme, "Unity, Development, and Restoration of Culture," reflects its mission to celebrate tradition while embracing global participation.

With its spectacular competitions and cultural festivities, the Horse and Cattle Show continues to be a symbol of Pakistan’s deep-rooted heritage and vibrant traditions, drawing immense enthusiasm from local and international spectators alike.
