IMF scoping mission to hold meetings with stakeholders in Pakistan

International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative for Pakistan Mahir Binici has said that scoping mission of the global lender is in Pakistan for a diagnostic review of Pakistan in terms of corruption and governance. 

In a statement on Tuesday, Binici said the scoping mission will remain in Pakistan from February 6 to 14. He said the mission during this visit will be working in collaboration with the government of Pakistan to promote transparency, accountability and honesty in the public sector.

He said the IMF scoping mission is also holding meetings with stakeholders in Pakistan. He said the IMF mission would meet top officials of the Finance Ministry, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Accountant General of Pakistan.
